Dear OAG Members, Friends, and Supporters,

OAG Home Coming: Your Art is HERE!

Throughout the years, OAG has gained a reputation for great exhibition receptions. These special events were not only a time to be immersed in art, and to meet and learn from exhibiting artists but also a moment to engage with friends, old and new, in a lively, celebratory and welcoming space. These gatherings, that connected art and community were important markers in our social calendars and represented unique opportunities for informal, intergenerational and cross-cultural relationship building that is only too rare in the arts sector. Over the past year and a half, following the safety protocols required during the pandemic, OAG has been unable to host any of our signature celebrations in person. During this time, we heard from artists, friends and supporters who lamented the loss of this personal touch and a desire to reconnect in real life as soon as it was safe to do so. Well, the time has finally come for us to come together at the Gallery, in celebration of a remarkable year.

On Wednesday November, 3, we will take the opportunity to mark three exciting exhibition cycles, in the first official gathering at the Gallery in more than a year!

  • Celebrate our ongoing Filteredexhibition [March 2, 2021 – January 2, 2022 ]
  • Join us for a live bilingual chat with artist Chantal Dahan – a featured artist in the outgoing Sheltered In Placeexhibition [July 22, 2021 – November 7, 2021]
  • Mark the opening of Playing Dead – the work of 2021 Project X Award recipient, Joyce Crago [October 29, 2021 – November 28, 2021]
  • Learn about new acquisitions to our permanent collection and our upcoming acquisition fundraiser (hint, the image of they is a definite clue!)

We can’t wait to welcome you back (safely and at a distance) to your home for the arts!
