Michelle Gewurtz, OAG’s Senior Curator, has recently accepted an exciting new job as the Supervisor of Arts and Culture with the Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives in the GTA. While we are sad to see her go, we’re also really excited to see her engage in this leadership position within another arts organization in Ontario.

Michelle began with the OAG’s curatorial department in 2015, and has brought much to the organization, from her rigorous intellectual contributions to the exhibition program through not only our group shows as a team, but also her solo-authored projects such as Facing Claude Cahun & Marcel Moore and Molly Lamb Bobak: A Woman of the Crowd, as well as her excellent catalogue writing. She also networked on international, national and regional levels for the OAG, creating exciting partnerships and collaborations. Her warmth and kindness as a colleague contributed to our well-being as a team, and she will be very missed. We look forward to keeping in touch with her and engaging with her on a province-wide collegial level now!
