Are you ready to paint the town PINK at OAG’s signature annual fundraising event on May 18th? The Give to Get Art Auction is all about supporting local art, artists, and OAG’s FREE public exhibitions, programs and operations. But what does that mean exactly? In addition to being a fun-filled, delicious, and awe-inspiring evening, the event helps further the Gallery’s many missions around being a community space for art.

The OAG prides itself on being barrier-free, meaning, the Gallery and the art is accessible to all. By supporting this event, patrons help the OAG make a positive impact on the local community in these ways:

  • Continue to offer FREE admission to exhibitions, vernissages, and public programs.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Gallery’s mental health and art therapy initiatives, through various community partnerships.
  • Support our artists, with 50% of art sales from the Auction going directly back to the artists with the other 50% supporting OAG initiatives.
  • Help the OAG with its mission to assist local artists across their life cycle, through mentorship and exhibition support.
  • Continue to foster an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone to engage with and enjoy, and yes, that means you too!

As for the meaning behind Paint the town PINK, you will have to come see for yourself! Expect gourmet food & beverage stations (including live-action chocolate sculpting), musical performances, an all-new jewellery box raffle featuring a variety of Canadian jewellers, an analog photobooth, an interactive community mosaic, and of course a specially curated selection of original art to bid on, featuring over 90 artists from across the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Get your tickets now and get ready to Paint the Town PINK. Join us and be part of the important work that the OAG does for our local community, artists, and culture.
