Welcome to the Ottawa Art Gallery.  As a public art gallery, the OAG is a space for reflection and respectful dialogue. We believe that art plays an important role in addressing and helping us to better understand the complex, global challenges of our time. To that end, we prioritize care in all we do and we condemn all forms of hate.

The Ottawa Art Gallery is home to the Art and Artists of the Ottawa-Gatineau region; where you can experience the collections, exhibitions, and events that link us and where connection happens between Art and City.

We are the open door to art, community, and culture. Ottawa is our home to celebrate, and the OAG is where culture resides and thrives: free, inclusive, welcoming, and rooted in the public good.

Admission to the OAG is always FREE.

EEPMON makes generative artworks—pieces produced through computer programs that introduce chance, iteration, and interactivity. By transforming digital information into visual forms, he reveals how computer code can act as a creative collaborator, generating works that are precise and unpredictable, logical and poetic.

For many artists, colour holds value as both a stylistic choice and as a fundamental means of providing information to the viewer. It evokes emotion while defining form through the depiction of light. The artists in this exhibition are united by their use of colour as a tool to shape their artworks.

Inspired by an act of kindness at a small Nova Scotia high school, Pink Shirt Day, also known as Anti-Bullying Day, has become a global movement against bullying. In 2007, a grade 9 student received threats for wearing a pink shirt on the first day of school.
