Exhibition Proposals
It is the mandate of OAG to advance knowledge and understanding of contemporary visual arts within the community through exhibitions, acquisitions, lectures and symposia, public programs, bilingual publications, traveling exhibitions, and adherence to standard museum practices.
OAG seeks to present and mediate the widest possible range of contemporary art practices and to reflect excellence and cultural diversity through all aspects of its programs.
OAG’s exhibition program is invitational, but the Gallery also accepts exhibition proposals on an ongoing basis from professional artists and curators.
Priority is given to artists based in Ottawa, Gatineau and environs, as well as exhibitions which adhere to the OAG’s community oriented mandate.
The curators review artist proposals on an ongoing basis. The exhibitions are booked at least three years in advance.
In order to be reviewed, exhibition proposals must include all mandatory fields, and be submitted electronically using the following form:”
Submission Guidelines:
- In the event that the proposed artworks have not yet been produced, please provide a detailed description of the intent in addition to support material featuring past work.
